Charity

All proceeds to Charity

Every penny of profit that we make at WarringtonSkaPunk.co.uk goes directly to charity.

Many things like the website and graphic design are donated, and we wish to thank many bands for offering reduced performance prices to help out. Plus everyone who buys tickets, merch or makes direct donations!

Names Not Numbers

The charity we support is called Names Not Numbers. Its a small UK charity that focuses on supporting smaller charities in the developing world. It aims to help effective, self supporting charities, with a focus on poverty relief.

Names Not Numbers currently supports three charities, a children’s home in South Africa, a children’s home in India and a children’s hospice in South Africa. Please feel free to find out more about these on the NamesNotNumbers.info projects page

Effective giving

One of Names Not Numbers’ key goals is accountable, effective giving. The charity is entirely volunteer led, with no admin staff costs. All money is paid directly into the developing world charity’s bank accounts, with the best exchange rates we can find. All supported projects need to be established Non Profit Organisations in their own countries, and need to provide us with annual accounts.

Its worth pointing out that Names Not Numbers has a base in the Christian faith: however all donations via Warrington Ska Punk are specifically earmarked only for physical needs: purchasing medication, clothing, food and housing. So you can be certain every penny you donate is spent as closely as possible on the important thing: helping kids in a practical and accountable way.
